Time limit is 5 minutes per entry

Will be judged in one of two categories and sizes: 
Comedy 4 or Less 
Comedy 5 or More 
Serious 4 or Less
Serious 5 or More

Scale of 1 to 10 in each:
Talent 
Costumes (If no costumes are used, 5 points for appearance)
Creativity/Originality

*Theme Bonus* (If act has the Rally Theme, 5-10 Points)
In case of a tie, the judges will indicate what place they think each act should place OVERALL within its category

Scrapbook Competition

Diorama must be submitted for judging only by fully registered participants.
Diorama - is any collage of a three dimensional nature. (If electricity is incorporated it must have its own power source, no external power is allowed nor will be provided.


Judging for Diorama the will be based on the following:
• Stands and easels are not to be part of DIORAMA and will not be judged as such.

Overall Appearance (how well it depicts the GWRRA Motto) (0-20)
Appropriate to size spec. (No larger then 3ft.x3ft.x1ft.) (10)

The Officer’s Handbook states: Newsletters inform Members and Officers of what’s going on. No matter how plain or fancy, the central purpose of its existence is to be a communications medium for and to the Members. Newsletters should be distributed at least monthly at no cost to all Chapter  Participants.

The Florida District is adopting the International Chapter Newsletter Award standards and scoring to ensure the District is aligned with the Region and International standards.

There is no requirement for a specific format and each Chapter may choose their preferred format. Newsletters can be in black and white or in 

color. The newsletter submitted for consideration must be the same as the Chapter Participants receive. There will be no points awarded or 

subtracted for either the format (black & white or color).  Hard copy Newsletters must be mailed to the District Newsletter Judges each month so that it arrives to them within the  first 3 weeks of each month.


 

There are 9 requirements that MUST be contained on the front page for judging to continue.

Chapter’s name, initials or associated logos
GWRRA Logo (current Logo with trademark symbol)
Region letter designation or associated logo
District designation or associated logo 
Month and year of the Newsletter

There are 9 areas that will be judged for content ranging from articles to a Calendar of Events in the newsletter. The final judged area has 8  scoring areas ranging from appearance to spelling to grammatical correctness. The below score sheet will be used to judge and determine  the Florida District Newsletter winner.

Chapters desiring to participate in the District’s Newsletter Judging must submit newsletters monthly via regular mail (USPS) to the

CHAPTER SHIRT Competition

The main purpose of the Chapter Shirt Competition is to have “FUN”, promote participation, and show your chapter’s sense of pride…Friends for FUN, Safety, and Knowledge.

Scoring:

GWRRA Designation (acronym or Logo) – 5 pts
Region Designation (acronym or logo) – 5 pts
District Designation (acronym or logo) – 5 pts
Chapter Designation (acronym or logo) – 5 pts
All Shirts Identical – 0-10 pts
Neatness – 0-10 pts

Comfort level of Competitors – 0-10 pts. 

Chapter Pride Competition

Lighted Bike Parade

Mascots must be submitted for judging only by fully registered participants.
Cannot be a LIVE mascot! For judging purpose, a Mascot must be able to fit on a 20 inch x 20 inch table space.
Judging will be based on having the following:


SCORING

Evidence of GWRRA identification - Any patch, pin, etc. with GWRRA name or logo (0 to 20)
Chapter, District & Region designation displayed (0 to 15 pts)
Appropriate to theme of convention (0 to 15)
Creativity (0 to 25)
Overall Appeal (0 to 25)
Total (Maximum Score = 100 Points)​

Collage - a paste-up made by sticking together pieces of paper or photographs to form an artistic image, not to be three dimensional


Judging for the Collage will be based on the following:
• Collage must be light enough to hang on wall without damage to same or placed on an undecorated stand or easel supplied by participant), stand or easel are not to be part of.
• Collage and will not be judged as such.

1. This is an opportunity to demonstrate a Chapter’s Pride/Spirit using the Convention/Rally theme. This is not a substitute for the District Talent Show.
2. Participating Chapter must have a minimum of 6 Participants.
3. Each Participant must have a Convention/Rally Registration Armband and GWRRA Membership Card with them.
4. Time limit is 2 minutes once all Participants display armbands and GWRRA Membership card.
5. The Chapter shall perform a chant or cheer that reflects their Chapter Pride that is themed related.
6. The following areas will be judged based on the Chapter’s theme related presentation: Creativity, Enthusiasm, Originality, & Theme Related.

Mascot Competition

Diorama Competition

There are rules for everything... Newsletter, visitation, "Plaque Attack!" and the District in general. The number one rule in all of these competitions is in stone and not available for discussion... HAVE FUN!

Below you will find a set of rules for said competition. The District Director has final say in any disputes.

The Lighted Bike Parade is a people choice award.
• All Riders and Co-Riders participating in the parade must be in proper riding gear and must have proper registration armband on.  Helmets are required to ride in the parade.
• Each qualified motorcycle (see rule above) will be presented a number for selecting purposes.
• The parade will follow designed route as given by District Staff starting in the front of the hotel or designated area to be viewed by attendees for judging.
• This form will serve as a ballot to select your favorite lighted bike. Write number of your selection. One ballot per person please!
• Turn in your ballot at the designated location.
• New to 2017:  Top 3 motorcycles with the most votes will be chosen and awarded accordingly -  1st Place People’s Choice, 2nd Place People’s Choice, and 3rd Place People’s Choice.  Once the votes are counted, the winner will be announced at the conclusion of the parade.
